Cant decide to give it 5 stars or 1, its either great or worst, still cant decide...

This app would be great...if it worked. The user experience and design is absolutely terrible. Graphics are visually pleasing and well done, but that should be secondary to its experience design and function. Not very intuitive. Toggles are a terrible affordance for actions such as edit/save. Aside from not being user friendly, this app is often WRONG, illustrating the pitch is much higher or lower than it actually is, and when it is nearly correct, its inconsistent. Could use sustained examples of selectable tones so that tuning by ear becomes the fallback when the app isnt working - often. At least then Id feel a little less disappointed about spending the money, and less foolish for not reading the reviews first.

App is a waste of $7.99. I should have listened to the other reviews! Does not pick up any pitches, making it completely useless! Would rate at zero stars if possible!

This app was $8.00 and a complete waste of money. It doesnt pick up frequency very well and its definitely not consistent with tone. I can use my two ears better than this app! Dont buy this

Its been totally changed and is way too clunky now. Doesnt work as good as the original version. Dont get it.

Hard to beleive it took this long for somebody to come up with app for your device as good as this one, Just make sure you have your volume on and turned up, placing your phone directly as says to in the on board manual... You can store your stetting on each drum that you desire while tuning stored refreance, in case your in a jam to get tuned quick and easy. Not a bad price compared to the others out there for a lot more money.

This app is useless it asks to detune the drum despite the fact i backed off the head completely and the tension number never changed not to mention i hit the same lug 5 times and each time a different frequency. There should be someone protecting our money since we waste money on these cash grab scams.

First time using it and its incredibly buggie - wont move to tune the next lug (stays one same lug and doesnt save setting) - doesnt save my drum specs - seems like some of the menu at the bottom is blocked by a keypad, so I dont know if its covering a save button (iPhone 6). NOT HAPPY

This is a total rip off. Does not work - do not buy. If I dont get a FULL refund immediately - I will share my terrible experience on every media site possible. Very poor - period.

I was drawn in by the appearance of the app and the impressive web site. It may have potential but until it better detects pitch it is useless. Consistently gave different readings for the same tone--even on an electronic drum! Its version 1.0, so maybe theres hope that my $7.99 was not a complete waste. In the meantime learn from my mistake, and get an app that already has good reviews.

Program repeatedly crashes after setting a note, when trying to tune. Does not work for marching percussion.

Its great an app, but I dont know how to use it because Ive never had any experience with something like this.

I downloaded this app thinking It would be great, but I disappointed me. Its really inaccurate with the frequencies. Ive been patient enough tuning my drums but I couldnt take how bad it would react to each tap. Id rather tune it myself. I got this app to get a more accurate tune for my set but it failed miserably. Dont recommend it.

You can pick from some of the currently popular heads. You tell it the diameter and target pitch, and the amount of sustain. The drum key visual is a great quick reference as well. You do need to keep your phone fairly close and mind how hard you tap around the lugs, but so far it has worked very well.

The app doesnt seem to be user friendly, Ive had it for about a month now and I still can figure it out. So, I guess someone know how to work it. Please post your review, on how I can work with it.

Its important to have a fundamental understanding of pitch (Hz) in using this tuning aid. A drum has a minimum and maximum pitch range and a sweet spot that accentuates the natural tone. You would want to determine the pitch for a given drum, determine the amount of sustain, and determine the interval relationship between the drums on your kit. There are different tuning guides online that can explain this in more detail. Its a small puzzle but it takes some reasoning to put it all together. This app isnt perfect. It will occasionally read several octaves too high and you have to reset the app or your phone. It may or may not play nice with other similar apps that utilize the microphone. Theres the occasional random crash. And there are issues when tuning snare resonant heads with lots of overtones. Its able to be programmed to specific pitch intervals though and once you are proficient with it its very easy to use. Once you read the instructions and separately research pitch, sustain and interval relationship, you will understand the science of modern drum tuning.

So far, a waste of money. Five stars for Graphics and concept. Seems to have bugs ... crashes. Installed it on a two week old iPhone 5s.

Wont let me change head company,it just keeps saying other ,I want my goddamn money back! The only thing that is good it seems to hear the drum
